Leading services include complex accounting, valuation and web-based investor services for traditional funds, hedge funds, fund of funds and private equity funds; trustee and depositary services; performance consultancy services to institutional and corporate clients worldwide as well as cash management, foreign exchange, securities lending, corporate trusteeship, issuing and paying agency services, management and corporate secretarial, compliance and regulatory reporting.
HSS is split into three divisions, namely, Fund Services, Custody and CTLA (Corporate Trust Loan Agency)
Principal Accountabilities
Reporting into Manager Operations Investor services, the incumbent will be have co-responsibility for the investor services team within HSBC Alternative Funds Singapore
- Responsible for investor services contact, including the communication of the latest NAV, contract notes and answering queries from investors and fund managers
- Ensure promptly reporting to the investors and Fund Managers
- Ensure proper take-on of new clients
- Ensure promptly role out of the new web-based reporting tool
- Increase efficiency of servicing current client
- Ensure and manage the operational risk, including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and timely reporting
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of investor services procedures and reporting issues
- Understanding of the internal systems for shareholder registration
- Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Coaching and training of team members
- Manage and motivate a team under strict deadlines, while adhering to procedures and regulations
- Service-oriented and client focused, proactive and responsive approach to responsibilities
- Provide support to the Investor Services manager or Team Leader
Requirements
- A degree holder with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Possess people management and good inter-personal skills
- Able to communicate at all levels
- Manage Operations resources on a day-to-day basis
- Devise workarounds when required or necessary
- A very good knowledge of general banking practices, working knowledge of unit trusts will be an added advantage.
