The Group is involved in a broad range of financial services in commercial finance, structured finance, alternative finance, credit insurance, bonds and guarantees. The financing facilities include factoring, loans, mezzanine financing, non-mainstream financing such as media financing, private equity investments, and providing creative capital and credit solutions to growing businesses.
We are looking for a bright, analytical and dynamic individual to join us as:
ASSISTANT MANAGER
Reporting to Manager of Legal Compliance, you will cover both legal and compliance functions for the Group and your responsibilities include the following:-
- Providing legal advice to the Group
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents
- Ensuring Compliance by the Group of all relevant laws and MAS regulatory requirements
- Designing and implementing Compliance Programme to the Group
- Providing prompt advice for the Group business on the relevant laws/rules/restrictions, drafting policies/guidance, suggesting appropriate controls and ensuring compliance controls are implemented
- Ensuring that the Group’s Compliance Policies are implemented in the regional oversea offices
- Organize and run compliance audits
- Developing and delivering legal compliance training
- Keeping track of regulatory developments in Singapore and the region and assisting to update existing compliance policies and procedures accordingly
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from university recognized by the Board of Legal Education for admission into Singapore Bar
- You must have at least 5-6 years of relevant experience. Experience in the legal compliance function of financial institution or private practice will be an added advantage
- Excellent communication, negotiating and influencing skills
- Initiative taking and proactive attitude
- Reliability and accountability
- Able to work under time pressure
