Assistant Manager,Base metal operations
Responsibilities:
To provide primary operational support to the Physical Base Metals Business. Secondary responsibilities will be to cross train across other physical commodity and gain multi product exposure:
* Issuance of Contracts after the deal has been concluded by the Traders
* Generation of documents required against Letters of Credit
* Review of opened LC against contractual terms
* Invoice management, including generation, review, release and client communication
* Liaison with Warehouses and freight forwarders to arrange deliveries to Customers
* Dealing with the accounts receivable and accounts payable ledgers
* Arranging payment of invoices/3rd party payments.
* Stock release controls into warehouses and storage facilities
* Reconciling stock, in conjunction with controlling the end of month and quarterly stock positions
* Instill and maintain close communication lines with Front Office and overseas offices
* General administrative duties.
Requirements:
* 5+ years experience around physical operational support, preferably across Base metals
* Exposure and solid understanding around metal risk and settlement systems
* Exposure and understanding to documentary risks surrounding Documentary LCs.
* Exposure and solid understanding around finance/repo transactions
* Exposure to freight forwarding and chartering logistics
* Strong communication skills, enthusiastic fast learner
* Candidates with relevant experience from trading houses will be considered
