Assistant Manager/Manager
Due to the increased demand for their services, our client is looking to recruit an Assistant Manager/Manager into their team based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow. We are interested in speaking with risk professionals who are interested in forming a career in risk advisory. You will work with client partners in a business advisory and consulting capacity, and will be expected to focus on developing relationships in the market and identifying opportunities for new business.
Candidates should have expert knowledge in areas such as financial risk, enterprise risk, Financial Crime, AML, ICAAP, RDR, Solvency II, Basel III. You should also have strong project management skills as well as SME risk knowledge.
You will proactively work with new and existing clients to deliver high-quality output, advice and assurance across specific subject matter including operating model design, process optimisation (full lifecycle), regulatory development (e.g. Solvency II, Basel II) and / or leveraging investments in capabilities (e.g. models)
Experience/Background required…
-University degree in relevant discipline
-Relevant professional qualification or working towards (CFA, CIMA, Securities Institute Diploma, FRM)
-Significant regulatory risk management experience working in the financial services sector or for a regulatory body
-Proven track record in managing complex projects
-A good understanding of the macroeconomic environment
-Detailed understanding of industry best practise in relation to risk frameworks and operating models and the regulatory change agenda
-Strong relationship management skills and business development experience
