ASSISTANT MANAGER/TRANSPORT MANAGER - EVERCREECH/SOMERSET
Salary: £24,000-£27,000 Per annum
Location: Evercreech/Somerset
Role Summary:
We are looking for an Assistant Manager to ensure the smooth running of our clients largest Waste/Recycling Depot in Evercreech which employs approx. 120 staff. Candidates must have experience within transport management and must have the ability to manage a large team.

Our Client's Environmental Services provide long term integrated environmental services solutions to local authorities across the country. These services include recycling, waste management, street cleansing and grounds maintenance.
Example of Responsibilities:
• Manage the operation of designated contract employees within the defined management system. Ensure that contractual requirements are monitored and targets are delivered. Ensure that potential problems are identified and resolved at an early stage and escalated where appropriate
• Performance manage and coach supervisory team, giving guidance, coach and instruction as needed and where appropriate conduct first line disciplinary meetings.
• Agreed shift rotas with supervisory team to ensure designated area of responsibility is effectively resourced to contract requirements. Maintain records and provide reports to the client and Company as required.
You:
• Will ideally have transport management experience
• Waste/Recycling experience would be an advantage but not essential
• Will have the ability to deputise for line manager
• Must be able to demonstrate previous experience of managing a small team.
• Will possess effective communication skills; listening, verbal and written.
• Ability to work in a methodical, organised manner.
• PC literate / Good IT systems awareness
• Full Driving licence
