Role Purpose:
Responsible for management of operational risk within Coutts, Hong Kong. This will involve liaison with all business areas internal risk counterparts within Wealth Management Division; and providing support on all Operational risk management issues and areas of coverage.
Key Role Deliverables:
- Assist in ensuring Operational Risk Framework is implemented as per Coutts Asia Risk management, RBS Group requirements and engage in wider Group initiatives as required
- Identification, assessment and mitigation of risks through a robust and tailored risk review programme within Operational Risk
- Oversee of First Line of Defence (FLOD) testing and other testing or review which might require from time to time as directed by the Head of Operational Risk Asia, or Chief Risk Officer, Asia or their delegated authority. This involve ensuring prompt completion of the required FLOD testing and early identification/escalations of risk issues by FLOD
- Involve in SOX adequacy and effectiveness review
- Engage in monitoring reviews in the area of data security, if required
- Assist the team in management of risk issues, including clearance of outstanding issues in issues database
- Engage in and propose training and risk awareness programmes
- Participate in project activity within Coutts Asia
- Proactive team-working with colleagues in Coutts, Asia ( including other business , supporting, risk functions in Asia); Zurich Operational Risk teams and WMD Operational Risk teams
- Management, co-ordination and delivery of other regular tasks as directed by the Head of Operational Risk, Asia or Chief Risk Officer or their delegated authority.
Experience:
- Relevant front office, operation, compliance, risk or audit experience within banking industry. Experience in private banking industry is preferred
- Risk management experience preferred
