Ethos Alternative Energy MS is accepting applications for
Assistant Operator (entry-level)
The Assistant Operator performs multiple functions at this inland biofuels production facility. This will be a 365-day operating facility. Applicant must be flexible and able to work various shifts that may include nights, weekends and/or holidays. Overtime may be required and ongoing.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
· Rounds – checking all pumps for leaks, checking pressures, gauges, charts, all drums and buckets and sample cabinets
· Unloading trucks at unloading areas
· Processing paperwork and samples from trucks
· Recording line samples (flashpoint, titrations, etc.)
· Tank farm – understanding/knowledge of what products go in each tank, pulling samples and draining water
· Pumping operations – Transferring products
· Gauges products transferred to/from tanks
· Performs valve lineups, switch and tank changes as required to move products in/out of storage and through process
· Performs tank and process inspections and prepare records as required
· Routine and ongoing daily inspection of facilities (fire extinguishers, etc.)
· Sample tanks for testing
· Assist drivers and customers, perform truck rack operation duties
· Diligently follows all safety requirements to prevent product contamination, spills and product loss.
· Maintain location appearance, repair and replace equipment in order to maintain exemplary compliance standards
· General maintenance and housekeeping responsibilities
Minimum Requirements:
· HS Diploma or GED, any experience with chemical or bulk fuel storage and pipeline operations, a plus
· Mechanical or electrical experience, a plus
· Pleasant and professional demeanor with internal/external entities
· Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solving skills
· Ability to multi-task within department for instruction and direction
· Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, phone)
Physical Requirements:
· Frequent walking, stooping and bending.
· Climbing up to 40 ft. elevation.
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
· Ability to work inside and outside in various climates and conditions.
