Assistant Portfolio Manager
The Job :
- Assist in managing various fixed income funds, including credit research, valuation analysis and order placement
- Perform credit / fundamental analysis on bond issuers, with a primary focus on Chinese corporations
- Maintain daily contact with counterparties for market color, price quotation and trade placement
- Participate in IPO roadshows and company visits
- Prepare written reports to provide market update, portfolio review and investment insights
- Conduct pre-/post-trade tasks and other ad-hoc projects as assigned
- Other Fund and department administration.
Requirements
- Degree holder or above in Accounting, Finance or equivalent disciplines
- With 2-3 years’ credit analysis experience
- Hands-on knowledge of Chinese bond issuers gained from buy side or sell side firms
- Qualified to be registered as licensed person under SFC on regulated activities
- Level III candidate of CFA is preferred
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, Putonghua is a must
