We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Assistant Procurement Manager
In this role, you will
- The Commodity Generalist will deal with all aspect of Procurement in relation to the product range (identification of supplier, correct specification of the product as per user requirements, price negotiation, contract terms, ordering, maintenance/support contracts, inventory management and disposal).
- Actively supports the management of all aspects of the supplier lifecycle through strategy, business engagement, tender, negotiation and contract management, ensuring the best interests of HSBC are served in managing the Group’s Agreements.
- Provides support for the Category Team on commercial analysis, negotiations and vendor lifecycle management and will also lead in these areas as required with the support and guidance of the Category / Commodity Manager
- Contribute to the achievement of the overall Procurement strategy by providing support to the Category teams on all aspects of the Category and Commodity strategy.
- Ensure seamless supply of goods and services to HSBC Group entities.
- The Commodity Generalist interfaces with any and all other parts of the group and with external suppliers at varying levels.
- Use the standard Procurement sourcing process and associated tools of e-Procurement tools (e-Auctions, eRFX, etc.). Negotiate and implement terms and conditions to assure maximum benefit, contractual protection and risk minimization.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements
- University degree or above in Business, Law or Supply Chain Management
- High degree of expertise and market knowledge in Procurement, contract management and banking operations
- Result-oriented mindset and good business acumen
- Excellent presentation and influencing skills
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills, with a high level of proficiency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
