Forge USA, an ISO certified manufacturer, produces large scale open die forgings for wide range of industries, including oil and gas, power generation, mining, processing, agriculture and heavy transportation. For more than 50 years, Forge USA has provided reliable, consistent open-die forging services to our customers on spec and on time. Our expertise in material sciences is applied to each project, determining the best forging and rough machining process for the alloy mix being used.

Currently, an opportunity exists for an Assistant Production Control Manager for our Houston, Texas forging facility. This position will be responsible for the execution of the production process.

Specific duties of the position include:

·         Assist in the supervision and training of personnel.

·         Support movement of product through all aspects the manufacturing cycle, from order receipt and to shipment.

·         Ensure continuity of workflow procedures.

·         Coordinate production requirements with other departments.

·         Assure timely shipments to all customers and prepare and implement work orders and plans as required.

·         Assure that the facility has the necessary materials to meet required manufacturing/production levels.

·         Coordinate input on material shortages and delivery of materials.

·         Work to maintain a safe, secure, and productive working environment for department personnel.

 

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university (experience may be substituted for education) in Industrial Technology, Production Management or similar with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a production coordination role in a manufacturing environment. Must have an understanding of machining, manufacturing and procurement processes.

 

Candidates must also demonstrate strong organizational and planning skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a high volume environment.
