Assistant Reconciliations Team Manager
A large, growing and prominent financial services organisation is looking for an Assistant Reconciliations Team Leader to join its team in its Brighton office. This is a really great opportunity for an experienced financial expert who is both professional and business minded.
Key responsibilities include:
-Deputising for the Reconciliations Team Manager when he or she is absent, by fulfilling all team management functions and ensure team resources are deployed effectively.
Fulfilling the main functions of a Reconciler, including:
-Meeting regulatory requirements by undertaking client money, client asset, bank and trial balance reconciliations.
-Collating and reconciling customer investment and withdrawal/encashment instructions, and submitting consolidated transactions to Unit Trust Managers, Banks and our own Unit Trust Manager Trustees.
-Collating, reconciling and making settlements with Unit Trust Managers, Banks and our own Unit Trust Manager Trustees.
Follow the procedures and controls required to identify, mitigate and manage risks, breaches and to protect client assets and support business continuity plans.
Supporting administration teams in Customer Services:
-Using internet banking to return unapplied standing order and bank transfer monies paid into our bank accounts, and making time critical payments to customers by Telegraphic Transfers.
-Fulfilling the duties of a Unit Trust Manager by maintaining our Unit Trust Manager’s register of holders, reconciling and making distributions, and preparing and submitting returns to HMRC.
-Producing system reports for administration teams.
The successful candidate will:
•Have excellent time management skills – consistently deliver on time
•Communicate well both up and down the line.
•Have a good understanding of CTF ISA.
•Have advanced Excel skills – understands how to use and manipulate large blocks of data
•Not be afraid to raise difficult issues with team members
•Demonstrate initiative and is committed to developing self
•OIC Qualification desirable. If not held is committed to achieving qualification within 2 years of starting role
