Position Overview:

Primary job function is to assist the Retail Business Manager in managing all aspects of the functions of the store/kiosk/cart in his/her absence.
Assists Store Manager in day-to-day store operations, including:
Targeted sales achievement Merchandising/promotional activities
Customer service and retention, Audits, Employee training, Inventory management,Cash handling, reconciliations and deposits
Customer satisfaction measured by surveys,Store safety and security
Works with the Retail Business Manager to ensure attainment of all net sales and revenue goals including:
Gross sales/net sales
Accessory sales and margin targets
Rate plan take rates
Enhancement targets - features/text messaging/insurance sales, fees, data products and all other add on products
Automatic bill payment targets
Schedules employees for optimum store performance, including back up plans for peak hours, vacation, sick time, training, etc.
Ensures proper opening and closing of the retail location via completing reports and cash reconciliation.
Supports Retail Business Manager in achieving goals by leading the team in inside sales, outside events and outbound marketing.
Drives success by ensuring employees follow the sales process.
Assists customers, handles customer escalations and promotes a positive customer experience.
Assists with the management of the approved store budget by monitoring adherence to customer fee and credit policies/practices.
Assists in the training of all retail staff of company sales procedures/policies, programs, promotions, incentives, etc.
Maintains desired store appearance according to company standards.
Provides input to Retail Business Manager to maintain proper and adequate levels of inventory to support sales traffic.
Participates in month-end inventory reconciliation and audits with Inventory/Sales Representative and the Retail Business Manager. Communicate to Retail Business Manager any inventory discrepancies.
Assists the Retail Business Manager as directed in coaching retail sales staff. Positively influences and motivates all employees by maintaining a team approach in the day-to-day management of all employees. Addresses performance issues to ensure quality and efficiency in the sales process.
Assists the Retail Business Manager in recruiting, selecting and hiring staff.
Conducts weekly staff meetings to communicate company trends, happenings, performance statistics and standards when the Retail Business Manager is absent/unavailable.
Achieves established sales quotas and leads by example in all aspects of the sales process, product knowledge and customer satisfaction/retention.
Assists in managing all aspects of store security and report additional needs or findings to the Retail Business Manager. This includes off duty police officers, video surveillance, bank deposits, armored vehicle pick-up, etc.
Demonstrates technical competence for products and services sold.
Maintains a relationship with the Network Operations Department that allows for ongoing knowledge of and participation in network development, customer-related network issues and resolution of these issues.
Engages in community activities and business development that support business goals.
Shares best practices with other stores.

Position Requirements:
Education Requirements: Required - HS Diploma or combination of education and experience that enables performand of all aspects of position. Preferred - Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related discipline.
Industry Experience: Required - Consumer Sales Preferred - Wireless Telecommunications or High Tech.
Job Experience: Required - Minimum 1 year proven retail sales leadership experience. Minimum 1 year experience proven leadership skills and employee development. Preferred - Minimum 3 years previous operations experience in a management role in a retail sales function.
