Assistant Risk Manager – Clearing System Trade Derivatives recruitment

A global financial exchange have an urgent requirement for an Assistant Risk Manager to work within a clearing division focusing on derivatives. This position will focus on trade clearing of OTC products within the clearing division. The Risk Management area is responsible for the review and oversight of Risk Management, Treasury and Collateral Management services. The Assistant risk manager will be a high caliber candidate to work in the Risk area of this company and perform an interim role as deputy and assistant to Risk Manager. This will involve assisting the Risk Manager with running the current day to day risk operations as well as helping with the roll-out and daily management of new projects.

Essential Skills:

- Excellent mathematical skills

- Good knowledge of exchange-traded derivatives

- An understanding of the differing bilateral and centrally cleared market models and rules governing those markets

- An understanding of clearing house margin methodologies and systems, particularly SPAN

- Awareness of evolving regulatory regimes including EMIR, CPSS, IOSCO and BIS III

- Detailed knowledge of futures and options pricing

Desirable Skills:

- Strong PC skills (particularly Microsoft Excel)

- OTC experience

- Experience of various market risk exposure methodologies both in the centrally cleared and bilateral worlds.

This unique opportunity is open to any candidate who possesses experience in directing the work of a team of more junior risk staff together with experience of reporting to senior management. Experience working in a CCP or Exchange environment is favourable.
