Assistant Sox Manager recruitment

ASAs client, a leading bank, is currently recruiting an Assistant Sarbanes Oxley Manager to join their Finance team in Edinburgh.

The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of a Sarbanes Oxley compliant control infrastructure. This includes providing expert Sarbanes-Oxley support to the Finance Team, while also performing oversight and challenge.

Responsibilities will include:

1. Managing Undertaking activities individually and as part of a team to ensure Sarbanes Oxley requirements are met to expected quality standards and timescales.
2. Leading / assisting with the implementation of changes
3. Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
4. Working to agreed plans, timescales and deliverables for testing financial controls to meet Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
5. Liaison with Sarbanes Oxley Risk Oversight, Group Central Team, Group Audit and External Audit on specified pieces of work undertaken.
6. Contribute to the development of Sarbanes Oxley strategy and initiatives to enhance compliance with requirements, the value generated from such activities and user satisfaction.
7. Help build the Risk and Control framework within Finance and the wider business by contributing to the alignment of Sarbanes Oxley requirements with wider Risk Infrastructure framework.
8. Provision of testing to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
9. Completion of documentation, maintenance of data (Sox express) to provide high quality audit trail.
10. Contribute to the identification and implementation of process and procedure improvements to increase operational efficiency.
11. Provision of accurate, relevant and timely data for reporting purposes.
12. Contribution to projects and initiatives to develop the business.

To be successful in applying for this role you must be a qualified Accountant and with auditing experience within a financial services environment.
