Description The Assistant Store manager is responsible for assisting the Store Manager in effectively running the store in order to maximize sales and minimize costs working toward AOP goals. To motivate and develop themselves and their team to achieve a high standard of customer service in order to maximize the sales and profitability of the store. Assist with resolution of complaints, staffing, customer service, and safety and health. Maintain a clean, well merchandised store. Assume lead role when manager is out. Train and develop themselves toward a store manager position. Responsible for developing, merchandising, billing, creating invoices, controlling assets and promotion of products and services. The Assistant Store Manager must complete additional projects as assigned by the Store Manager. Driving guest vehicles is an essential function of the job. Requirements Ability to lift an object weighing up to 60 pounds. Valid driver's license is required Must be at least 18 years old 1+ yrs of Management experience or the equivalent High school diploma or GED Tasks Accountable for assigned individual, as well as store sales objectives. Maintain good customer relations through outstanding customer treatment and proper handling of any complaints to ensure repeat sales. Directs the activities of the store and its associates in an effective manner to provide the attainment of sales and profit and return on investment objectives. Assist sales force with availability information, special pricing and status of inventory back-orders. Maintain management discipline while motivating and developing personnel for greater productivity and advancement. Enforce corporate policies and procedures of housekeeping and merchandising programs to reflect the proper corporate image to the public. Responsible to monitor and enforce corporate pricing strategy. Operate the store in compliance with corporate policies and procedures and Federal and State Laws and regulations Control operating costs in an appropriate relationship with sales volume and gross margins to produce a satisfactory operating profit. Maintain control of corporate assets. Analyze monthly P/L and P/L audit trail. Perform monthly safety audits. Clear and file wdr's, process hours worked, perform monthly tire counts, review and file all documents in weekly Akron mail, process and send in tire adjustments, review GY reports.
