Assistant Store Manager

SUMMARY
The primary purposes of this position are to assist the Store Manager and/or Co-Manager with the operation of the retail store, to maximize profit and loss (PL) performance by executing company policies and procedures, and to provide superior customer service. The incumbent is required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and applicable laws.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The associate may be responsible for all or some of the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position directly supervises store associates and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Rite Aid policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, directing, rewarding, and disciplining associates; appraising associate performance; and resolving complaints.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), plus one (1) to two (2) years' experience in retail management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
