Applicant will plan and direct the business operations of the school system in compliance with the law and policies of the Board of Education, the rules and regulations of the school district and the instructions of the Superintendent of Schools in order to provide the best possible educational services with the financial resources available. The Assistant Superintendent for Business will also serve as Clerk for the Board of Education.

 

Qualifications:

• New York State SBA/SDBL Administrative Certification

• 3 – 5 years Business/Financial Officer experience in a school district preferred

• Successful record of participation in a district or other management team

• Thorough understanding of NYS regulations for state aid, finance and budget preparation

• Understanding and experience with all aspects of capital construction

• Direct experience successfully managing instructional support operations, including Payroll, Purchasing, Food Services,

Transportation and Building Maintenance

• Knowledge of purchasing, risk management, financial instruments, insurance benefits and a strong background in school fund accounting

• Experience in contract negotiations

 

Salary Commensurate with Experience

Beginning at $115,159
