Assistant Syndicate Accountant

My client, a leading insurance business, is seeking to recruit an Assistant Syndicate Accountant, to join their finance team for 3 months during their busy year end period. You will be working to assist the Financial Planning Manager and Syndicate Accountant to assist with the preparation of the year end accounts and ensure that all Sarbanes Oxley compliance has been met.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has previous insurance and year end experience, looking to work for a national company, with excellent pay rates and the potential for the role to become permanent.

Key responsibilities;
- Assist with the Syndicate’s Financial Close process at month end, with a focus on technical underwriting aspects.
- Maintenance of SAP General Ledger.
- Production of month end Sarbanes-Oxley audit file.
- Assist with the reconciliation and processing of underwriting data from the Syndicate’s US cover-holder business.
- Other ad hoc finance close processes as required.

Key skills;

- Candidates must have previously worked within the Insurance sector
- Candidates must have month and year end accounting experience
- Candidates should have good Excel abilities and SAP is preferable
