Assistant Tax Advisor recruitment

Ernst Young's Performance and Reward Tax team in Reading, are looking to recruit an Assistant Tax Advisor. This is a great opportunity to build technical skills with the longer term aim of developing into a tax professional.

Our team is a growing area, providing opportunities for career development and learning from market leading professionals.

Your responsibilities as an Assistant Tax Advisor will include:

- Assisting the team with all aspects of employee share participation, including designing, drafting and implementing the full range of approved and unapproved share plans for public and private companies

- Managing a range of clients across all industries including both UK plcs, as well as overseas parented companies. Typical projects can range from a week to a year in duration.

Qualifications/skills you'll need as an Assistant Tax Advisor:

- You do not need prior tax experience, as full training will be provided, although experience within a legal or financial background would be an advantage.

- A 2.1 or above degree (or equivalent) in any discipline, Law or History would be an advantage

- Bright and able to absorb complex concepts quickly;

- Enthusiastic and keen to learn

- Well organised and able to concentrate on the detail

- A good communicator, in writing and verbally

- Able to explain complex issues simply

- A good team player

- Hardworking and conscientious.
