Assistant Tax Manager recruitment

Job Description

You will be part of our Country Tax team and your scope of work will include:

1) Provide tax support for external and internal tax reporting/compliance
2) Provide tax support for GST/withholding tax compliance/advisory
3) Participate in user acceptance testing of new or upgraded systems for tax compliance
4) Provide tax support in ad-hoc projects/queries

Key Roles Responsibilities

1) Ensure tax returns, provisions and tax calculations are accurate before submissions, both in respect of internal and external tax reporting
2) Effectively manage tax reporting timelines
3) Prepare/review/advise on GST/withholding tax compliance by the Bank and subsidiaries
4) Assist in the implementation of in-country procedures to ensure proper compliance with Singapore tax laws by business units
5) Participate in user accpetance testing of new or upgraded systems for tax compliance
6) Assist in ensuring that the tax library is properly maintained
7) Provide training and education on tax matters
8) Provide ad-hoc tax suppport

Qualifications Skills

1) Relevant educational qualification in accountancy/taxation
2) Singapore tax experience is essential
3) Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
4) Willingness to learn and ability to work under tight deadlines
5) Meticulous and a positive working attitude is essential
