An Assistant Technical Manager is required at a company that supplies specialised materials and equipment to the electricity supply industry and industrial customers with electric power systems.
My client’s technical team at deal with electronic devices used on the overhead line electricity network, mechanical equipment for overhead line electricity network and safety equipment for linesman (and to a lesser extent electricians) working on the electricity network.
About You:
To be able to take on this role you will have good managerial experience and a mixture of hands-on field and technical experience.
This is a delivery based role whereby you will help to manage the technical area of the business ensuring compliance and standards within my client product line.
You will need the practical hands-on experience with the installation, maintenance or operations of an electricity network, knowledge of the key issues within the electricity supply industry and some commercial experience and be conversant with the tools and equipment that my client produces and supplies.
You will need some electrical and mechanical technical understanding to be able to liaise with and guide the Mechanical Electrical Engineers in the team.
You should also be a confident communicator because there is an element of dealing with clients.
You should also be able to write reports.
