JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Assistant supports the (Senior) Advisors Trade Services in the processing of all activities which accrue in the TSC and works in close cooperation with the other Assistants and (Senior) Advisors in the team
- The Assistant Trade Services is responsible for the process-related flow in the Trade Service Center (TSC) and internal communication between TSC and Trade Processing Center (TPC). The Assistant ensures that the process-relevant legal regulations are complied with and guarantees the observance of time limits. He/she supports cooperation with all relevant interfaces.
- Printing of the advising letter prepared in the Trade Processing Center (TPC) and dispatch to the beneficiary or technical instruction of the TPC for advice to exporter (directly or through the principal banker)
- Examination of the documents for completeness and authenticity, as well as scanning of the documents, documentation of the scanning and dispatch of the documents to the bank named in the documentary credit
- Independent use of all available internal systems (in particular CoDOKA). Documentation of the flows in the TSC, as well as performance of all research and information activities with and for foreign banks, other offices of the Group, as well as beneficiaries under documentary credits.
- Support of the (Senior) Advisor in the overall communication with the exporter. Bears main responsibility for communication with the TPC
- Support of the (Senior) Advisor in complying with and implementing all internal and legal provisions and regulations (e.g. Anti Money Laundering (AML), Know your Customer (KYC), Compliance, embargo guidelines)
- Deputising regulation within the TSC unit: Assistants deputise for each other, or (Senior) Advisors of the TSC act as deputy
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Several years of comparable professional experience, trade or logistics background desirable
- Practical experience of workflow management would be an advantage
- Min. of 3 years as assistant in any company and 3 years of workflow management, or Min. of 5 years as assistant in a financial services company
- Command of the national language and written and spoken English
- Knowledge of trade finance business
- Knowledge of the relevant internal and legal provisions and regulations
- Software user skills (bank-internal systems, MS Office products)
- Knowledge of DOKA a plus
