Our client, a highly regarded reinsurance company, is seeking an Assistant Underwriter to strengthen their Onshore Energy Mining team.
The role of Assistant Underwriter will involve you providing business processing and technical support to the Senior Underwriters. As you develop in the role you will then become responsible for underwriting your own book of property accounts and be encouraged to develop strong relationships with brokers, and play your part in raising the profile of the organisation and promoting the companies risk appetite.
Suitable candidates will have a min 2 years underwriting experience ideally within Energy or Mining. Previous experience in the analysis of coverage for Property Damage and Business Interruption will also be highly regarded. Other important requirements include strong analytical skills, strong written and verbal communication skills and an attention to detail. Tertiary or professional qualifications are also desirable.
