Assistant VAT Accountant - Commodity Trading House
My client, a Global Commodity Trading House is seeking an Assistant VAT Account to join their London team.
The Role
The assistant VAT Accountant will sit within the Indirect Tax Department in this Global Commodity Trading House's London HQ. Your main responsibilities will include assisting with the preparation of the European VAT returns, VAT account reconciliations along with the preparation of VAT monthly journals. You will play a key role in providing an advisory service identifying the tax opportunities and consequences of commercial transactions whilst ensuring the company is compliant with global Tax regulations to ensure the company meets its Indirect Tax objectives.
You Will Have
- Excellent excel and computing abilities.
- Relevant accounting experience is Essential whilst experience of Indirect Tax is Ideal.
- You must be at least a Part Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
