Job Description

Bank of America operates in multiple countries outside of the U.S., offering a wide variety of products and services to clients.

In Asia-Pacific, product offerings are currently centered in corporate and investment banking, securities, and wealth management.

Business plans are developed by business group, product, and client segment globally. At the same time, the local economic environment, client needs, and regulatory requirements create the need for a country-level governance of the company's business.

The role of the Change Consultant is to manage technology projects/programmes initiated by the Asian business or with Asian impact. These initiatives will have objectives including, but not limited to; supporting business expansion, responding to regulatory mandate, upgrade of existing systems and operational risk mitigation.

The Change Consultant will own the project/programme from initiative to delivery and will be responsible for engaging the various technology and business teams to achieve the initiative goals.

Responsibilities

· Liaise with business to understand priorities and issues and facilitate project initiation activities, e.g. project definition, business justification. Engage relevant business and technology teams to define initiative requirements, propose technology solutions and gather project effort estimates.

· Define initiative budget and obtain project and budgetary approval.

· Create project/programme plan. Ensure commitment from all stakeholders, escalate resourcing constraints or priority conflicts to senior management.

· Actively manage project: review project documentation to ensure quality is maintained, monitor project risks and issues, track project delivery against milestones. Proactively take remediative action where necessary to minimise impact. Escalation to senior management where necessary.

· Track project spend against budget, escalate actual or potential deviations.

· Where a change to project requirements, effort or budget is expected, process via the established change management process and re-baseline plan or budget.

· Consider medium and long term project impact, work with operations and support groups to ensure impact of project delivery is understood and being planned for, including customer service fulfillment and operational procedures.

· Ensure that all projects are managed according to the Bank's ECMS (Enterprise Change Management System) Process and that proper project documentation is in place.

· Maintain communication with other project managers to understand holistic technology programme and share knowledge, take advantage of related implementations or identify potential risks/conflicts between initiatives. Manage/mentor junior change analyst resources. Contribute to continuous improvement of project management/change management processes
