Assistant Vice President, Credit Control recruitment

Principle Accountabilities:
In the role of a credit controller, you will manage the credit risk of accounts/portfolios and provide support to Marketing (relationship managers) in terms of credit review and analysis. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Credit risk management of accounts in margin shortfall / limit excess to ensure prompt follow up by Marketing to rectify shortfall or excess
- Credit support to Marketing e.g., providing guidance on how computation is derived, current position of client’s account, loan drawdown and margin positions
- Credit Risk Analysis: reviewing of requests to carry shortfall / limit excess / exceptional Advanced Ratio
- Work with relationship managers to identify potential risks and to monitor credit conditions
- Processing of lien transactions (new and existing lien arrangement)
- Preparation and submission of regular reports
- Keep abreast of market trends; identify potential risks and their impact on the portfolio
- Participate in system enhancement projects and work with IT on system-related issues
Skills/Attributes:
- Degree holder in a related discipline, with minimum 4 years’ experience in the banking industry, preferably in private banking
- Experience in risk management/audit function with direct involvement in compliance and credit control
- Possess good business sense and planning abilities
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage and work with stakeholders at all levels are essential for this role
