Assistant Vice President – Finance recruitment
My client, as leading European Insurer with a strong and growing presence in the region is seeking an experienced finance candidate to join their local Corporate Reporting team.
Leading a small team and reoprting to the Finance - VP, candidates should have excellent communication skills, previous experience in a senior finance role within Life insurance combined with strong technical accounting skills/significant IFRS financial reporting experience
Responsibilities include -
- Overview all reporting activities, including tax, and accounting policy updating
- Perform investment assets monitoring, accounting analysis
- Coordinate of business planning/ budgeting/ forecast
- Maintain continuously enhance the reporting framework with the existing/ new accounting system
- Support ad hoc projects and administration works as assigned by head of financial control or senior management
- Quality audited accounts, statutory reports, and tax return
- Investment assets reports and analysis
- Well coordinated business plan/ budget/ forecast meeting requirements by HO/ RO/ local management
- Management of ledger accounting system and its enhancement
- Special projects in compliance with Group requirements or update of accounting standards (e.g. Solvency II, IFRS9, new standard for accounting insurance contracts, etc.)
Experience and skills required -
- Degree holder with qualification of CPA
- Qualification in investment field is an asset
- Ability in leading a team of 5 - 6 staff to face with the changes and deliver results
- Strong technical background with good knowledge in development of the accounting standards
- Working experience with Big 4 are preferable
- Excellent communication interpersonal skill
- Good team player
