Assistant Vice President, Fund Accounting
This firm takes pride in its ability to provide an exciting and engaging corporate atmosphere, and we are seeking an AVP whose proactive approach will enhance operations for the Legal Entity Accounting and Expense Allocation Group. Strong leadership skills, excellent judgment and a high level of integrity are vital to success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Review accounting records of legal entities holdings
- Liaise with service providers, joint venture partners and other representatives regarding departmental needs
- Ensure accuracy in allocations and portfolios for various funds
- Follow up on all relevant documentation, bank permissions, wire transfers and records
- Act as a vital right arm and thought partner for the Senior Vice President; may be called upon to assist with legal entities, custody of assets and bank account management
Requirements:
- 7+ years of related experience; finance industry experience is preferred
- Demonstrates a high level of initiative, an eagerness to take ownership of independent assignments and a strong work ethic
- Strong knowledge of entity accounting and typical tax accounting procedures
- Strong knowledge of GAAP requirements and control policies and procedures
- Strong leadership skills and experience in a management role
