Assistant Vice President – Liquidity & Funds Transfer Pricing Modeller recruitment

Operating from within the Corporate Treasury team the Assistant Vice President - Liquidity Funds Transfer Pricing Modeller will own, develop and maintain a number of treasury models that produce daily and monthly information for liquidity, funding and funds transfer pricing. Additionally the Assistant Vice President Liquidity Funds Transfer Pricing Modeller will be responsible for enhancing and developing the analytics to drive continual improvement in the management information available to various business lines and management committee’s such as ALCO, the Executive Committee and the Board.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Run a number of daily and monthly reporting models for distribution to key stakeholders in relation to liquidity, funding and funds transfer pricing activities.

•  Review and challenge existing stress testing methodologies being applied and provide recommendations to management where necessary

•  Enhance existing Funds Transfer Pricing models and develop new models and processes to improve reporting capabilities in a dynamic and fast paced business environment

•  Report, refine, analyse and control monthly global corporate treasury net interest (see current model)

•  Ensure cash capital and short term cost of carry is properly computed daily and booked to correct cost centre at each month end close

•  Understand and verify the booking of various interest related charges/credits into corporate treasury and out to appropriate business units (e.g. Stock Loan/Borrow and Clearing Agents)

-Monthly reconciliation to ensure treasury is net interest flat on these items

•  Identify and systematically cleanse via allocation to relevant front office/business unit non-interest related charges/credits that currently reside in corporate treasury

-Cash breaks, exchange clearing costs (see current model)

•  Monthly capture, research and corrective action where necessary of all material entries to corporate treasury cost centre with focus on “outlier” items

•  Develop and maintain a high standard of documentation and procedures around new and existing models and ensure compliance with internal policies.

•  Assist in putting together the FCALCO packs on a monthly or ad-hoc basis

•  Review and challenge results and trends and escalate for discussion at various management forums.

Skills/Experience Required:

As much is is preferred to offer all the skills and experience what is most important is the ability to model and manipulate number and offer a understanding of the sole purpose of a Treasury function and the main products involved. 

•  Excellent report building skills with an ability to create management information from raw data

•  Strong knowledge of liquidity risk, funding and funds transfer pricing, balance sheet

•  Previous experience within the financial services sector

•  Knowledge of VB / Excel VBA / SQL highly desirable

•  Good mathematical ability

Systems Used:

•  Strong MS Excel skills

•  VB / Excel VBA

•  Prior experience with Essbase beneficial

•  SQL desired but not essential

•  Other Microsoft Office applications

Qualifications/Education Required:

•  Degree level qualified

•  Professional qualification CFA, ACMT, FRM, PRM, MBA desired
