Assistant Vice President of Physician Contracting Job in Franklin 37067, Tennessee Us
Will report directly to the VP of Managed Care while working closely with Physician Operations and Senior and Market Leadership. Will be responsible for the strategic direction and management of the day-to-day contracting including but not limited to negotiating and renegotiating contracts. Ensures the smooth operation and administration of provider agreements. Tracks financial performance of contracts and ensures compliance with contracting guidelines. Assists in resolving elevated and complex provider service complaints. Responds to Market inquiries, concerns and complaints. Intitiates and maintains effective channels of communications with payors, markets and physician office staff. Demonostrates knowlege of payors and physicians in assigned geographic areas. Other projects and duties as assigned.
Experience/Education Requirements:
- Bachelors degree required, Masters degree preferred
- 7-10 years contracting and negotiating experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Knowledge of the workings of managed care as it relates to payor functions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience with formal presentations.
- Superior problem solving, decision-making and negotiating skills.
- Team player with proven ability to develop strong working relationships.
- Detail oriented.
