Assistant Vice President, Operations-Trade Finance recruitment

Responsibilities

To ensure smooth operation of the trade finance section and provide support service to the bank customers on all products handled in the section such as, but not limited to, Issuance of import L/Cs, Advising of export L/Cs, Transfer of export L/Cs, Checking of import and export L/C documents, Checking of import and export collection documents, Cheques collection, L/C confirmation, L/C discounting, Trade Risk Participation, Reimbursement L/C financing, Issuance of guarantees, Opening of operating accounts, Outward remittance
To provide assistance to the CIB-Marketing on product knowledge
To provide assistance to other departments on matter related to trade finance
To supervise the completeness of all transactions handled in the section
To provide suggestions or recommendations on existing or new products relating to trade finance
To ensure adequate controls are in place to monitor non payments
To report on all operational issues encountered
To coordinate the reporting for the monthly business statistics and other relevant information as required regarding trade finance activities
Support the Asian Branches in the role of Singapore Branch as a regional hub. (Functional responsibilities on Trade Finance)
To provide support in handling queries from customers/HO/other departments, etc
To perform inputting and checking of entries and documents as and when required
Reports to Head of IT/Operations/Settlements

Requirements

Tertiary education
Min 8 years’ relevant hands-on working experience in Trade Finance operation
In-depth knowledge of the whole Trade Finance operations
Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
Fluent in written and spoken English, Mandarin capabilities would be advantageous
