Assistant Vice President – P&C Actuary recruitment
Joining their Risk and Actuarial Management - Asia you will be responsible for ensuring that all PC business in Asia is appropriately reserved, and monitored on a quarterly basis, and for making reserving recommendations to the Regional Reserving Committee. The team is instrumental in the production of US GAAP and EVM financial results, in addition to all local regulatory requirements for reserving in Asia.
This team also provides input into the risk management of large transactions for Asia. The goal of PC RAM Asia is to improve the overall quality of financial and risk management for PC business within the Asian insurance carriers.
Responsibilities:
- Quarterly portfolio monitoring - US GAAP reserving and regional
- Reserving committee presentation
- Statutory reserving and reports
- Additional regulatory requirements - stress testing, etc
- Audit requirements - prepare information and data required by the
- auditors
- EVM - set cash flow patterns for discounting purposes
- Projects - costing reserving linkage, etc
Requirements:
- Degree in actuarial studies, mathematics, finance or comparable quantitative education
- Qualified Actuary
- 6-7 years experience in PC actuarial experience.
- Experienced with Excel, Word, VBA
- Motivated, proactive team player, eye for detail,
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
