Assistant Vice President, Project Finance (Mining) recruitment

Our Client is a global bank with strong Asian presence.
The Role
The bank would like to increase its profile and activity in the mining sector in Asia. Thus, the bank is looking for an Assistant Vice President to actively support the business activities of the Project Finance Group, particularly in originating and executing advisory and arranging mandates in the mining sector. Perform technical due diligence on mining projects, prepare financial proposals and presentations. Prepare internal credit papers, Prepare and run sensitivities on financial models, Help mentor junior staff.
Your Profile
To succeed in this role, you should have a degree in geology and has trained as a mining engineer. Given that this is an AVP/VP position, the bank would be looking for a degree level candidate that has good relevant experience (min. 3 - 5 years) which ideally would include experience working in a bank. However, given that the pool of likely candidates with the necessary mining experience will be quite limited, we will also be looking at candidates who may be currently working for a mining company, mining engineering firm or mining consulting company.
