Job Summary
Experienced Business Analyst is required to strengthen the IRDS (Instrument Reference Data Service) team and provide business analysis for a range of projects, working closely with Project Managers and IT counterparts. Directly reporting to the Functional Head of IRDS CM India.
Instrument Reference data refers to static instrument data that defines financial products used within Deutsche Bank. Consumers currently utilise Instrument data from a vast number of sources resulting in inconsistencies across the Bank which brings reconciliation challenges and processing inefficiencies. IRDS aims to facilitate bank-wide adoption of Instrument Reference Data, centrally managed and cleansed by GBS service utility, and thereby providing front to back STP productivity.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsibilities include the following:-
- Provide business analysis for a range of projects within Instrument Reference Data, working closely with Project Managers and IT counterparts
Either one of the following three:
- Fixed Income Subject Matter Expert (SME), capable of confidently advising on Fixed Income Instrument Reference Data related issues which arise during business analysis
- Enterprise Data Management Subject Matter Expert (SME), capable of confidently advising on EDM solutions, EDM processes, Data architecture, Tool selection, Application integration options etc.
- Derivatives Subject Matter Expert (SME), capable of confidently advising on Derivative Instrument Reference Data related issues which arise during business analysis.
Also,
- Support Strategic Build teams in building the IRDS by providing analysis, requirements and acceptance criteria to relevant projects
- Assist Project Managers in liaising with Consumers to clearly define the details of Instrument Reference Data requirements
- Close liaison with IT counterparts to translate Consumer requirements into meaningful technical requirements which will be used in the build solution
- Assist in the creation and integration of new and existing Reference Data sets by helping to design, develop, test and implement improved operations processes
- Analyse Reference Data subsets to identify potential strengths and weaknesses in order to create governance and accountability for the managed IRDS
- Develop and implement specific business rules required to support project integration and ongoing maintenance for the IRDS
- Develop, manage and distribute project documentation including functional requirements and analysis
- Close liaison with RTB teams to ensure UAT testing is completed, Operational Readiness and seamless delivery of projects into production
- Ensure adherence to Change Control management process
- Management of project interdependencies and leveraging of project synergies
- Work closely with senior stakeholder to ensure working relationships manifest in excellent service delivery
- Attend planning and direction meetings to keep project on track, tracking project progress and change control.
- Communications and management reporting, both verbal and documented, providing updates on projects direction including status, risks and issues
- Assist in “selling” the vision of the IRDS programme to the stakeholders within DB
- Partner and assist in the:
- Business Analysis activities
- Consumer Adoption activities when required

Job Requirements
Proficient in two or more of following skills:
- Extensive product knowledge in the area of Fixed Income Markets including a thorough understanding of corporate bonds, agencies, treasuries, securitized products, municipals and money markets.
- Good understanding on fixed income derivative products.
- Familiarity with fixed income product feeds from data vendors.
- Strong experience in leading/driving data related projects: design, requirements User interface for MDM projects
- Good insight into data management best practices like service capability, data governance, data quality and related workflows.
- Extensive exposure to EDM tools, ETL tools, defining data governance standards, defining data mapping quality standards etc
- Pre-sales experience in Financial Markets industry.
- Extensive product knowledge on Derivatives (Swaps, Options Futures), Commodities, FX (Forward Spot) etc.
- Good understanding of Derivative Pricing, Volatility and risk systems.
- Good familiarity with Derivatives range of product feeds from data vendors. Awareness of data mapping and associated data life cycle/processes.

- Experience with managing third party / vendor reference data content
- Experience with Master Data Management or Enterprise Data Management implementations.
