Assistant Vice President / Senior Manager – Market Data (Index Development) recruitment
Job Responsibilities:
This new senior position is created for the strategy development for the index business that HKEx plans to embark upon. The successful incumbent is responsible for identifying and investigating global market demands on financial market indices, especially those with underlying assets being financial products traded in Mainland China or Hong Kong; formulating strategies for the development of the index business in order to meet HKEx’s growth objectives; and developing policies in the development, promotion and marketing of index offerings of HKEx or its joint ventures with third parties.
Requirements:
- University Degree, preferably in Finance / Economics / Business Administration / Marketing or related subject
- At least 10 years’ relevant experience, of which at least 8 years at management level, preferably in well-established financial organisations
- Sound knowledge on the global financial markets, especially those in Mainland China
- Good understanding on the global index business
- Good managerial, analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Sound judgement and decision making
- Good interpersonal, communication, networking and influencing skills
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua a must
- Candidates with lesser experience and qualification will be considered for a lower level
