Institutional Banking Markets (IBM) is responsible for the provision of products and services to nearly 3000 major corporate, institutional and government clients to optimize the client’s capital structure and related financial flows. This is achieved through the origination, structuring and execution of on and off balance sheet products that are enhanced through the efficient application of taxation, accounting, risk and capital management technologies. Institutional Banking Markets is the primary face to the market for all complex financing and advisory functions for the Bank’s corporate and major government clients.
Structured Asset Finance (SAF) is a product division in IBM that principally serves the ‘non-vanilla’ asset based financing needs of major clients in Institutional Banking through the provision of business origination and transaction delivery.
Structured Asset Finance develops and delivers sophisticated domestic, international and cross border asset based product solutions to the Institutional Banking client base.
Purpose of the Role
- Provide all around support to the SAF Asia effort.
- Responsibilities will include: marketing support, credit analysis, production of internal transaction applications, pricing/cashflow modeling and management reports.
- To participate in the origination, structuring and execution of transactions undertaken by SAF in Asia.
- SAF Asia team member to participate in the growth of the business in accordance with the Bank’s risk appetite statements and strategies.
Key Accountabilities
- Implement product marketing strategies for structured asset finance opportunities originated by the team so that value is created for clients and SAF achieves budget and profit objectives.
- Contribute to the development and growth of the SAF Asia business.
- Key contributor in a collaborative “One Team” culture.
- Contribute to the development of appropriate systems and processes that ensure effective working relationships are created with new and existing clients by interacting with coverage teams in Institutional Banking to ensure cross-sell opportunities and referral.

Qualifications and Experiences Required
Essential
- Tertiary qualifications in a business related field e.g. commerce, accounting or law
- Substantial banking experience 5 years in a major bank with a focus on an institutional client base. .
- Product knowledge including: leasing and/or asset backed finance, project finance, treasury, credit and other specialized corporate finance products
- Credible people person, able to build a shared purpose within the team
- Significant credit analysis experience, with a formal credit training program as a helpful plus.
- Proven new business track record in a marketing support team environment.
Desirable
- Solid experience gained in the Asia big ticket asset finance market
- Transportation and/or Natural Resources based asset finance experience is beneficial
