MarkitSERV Clearing Product Management is responsible for clearing-related functionality in MarkitSERV’s products, working with the industry and partners to deliver an end-to-end solution.

Position summary

Product Managers at MarkitSERV are responsible for all aspects of the product life-cycle, from inception through to development, implementation and post-implementation and support when needed.

The Product Analyst will need to work with many other functions within the company (business analysis, testing, development, implementation, customer services, legal and finance, as well as Product Analysts for other areas) to successfully fulfill this far-reaching brief, and interpersonal skills are paramount. Due to the changing nature of the clearing landscape, interaction with clients and partners is an important part of the responsibilities, and the candidate will be expected to be able to progressively take on own relationships. The candidate will need to develop confident meeting and presentation skills, as both internal and external meetings require assertive manners and a thought-through agenda.

The candidate will get a very thorough understanding of the clearing business, and first-hand experience in all areas. Tasks will include creating content for documents used in conjunction with sales and marketing, external technology documents and detailing workflows.   Additionally the candidate will be responsible for gathering and recording business requirements for future enhancements to the companies clearing offering. External communication will also include interaction with customers (answering their questions, explain the workflows and understanding their reaction to the system, work with sales and account management as a subject matter expert for clearing. . the expectation is that the candidate will be able to grow in the role to take on more responsibility over a short period of time.

With the increased industry focus on clearing, there is a need to provide more product management input to clients during their implementation and testing phase, and work internal with the implementation team to ensure successful go-live on clearing functionality.
