Position summary

The successful candidate will be working as part of the Index Production team which is responsible for the research, production and calculation of Bespoke and public equity indices and ETF’s. Key parts of the daily responsibilities include index calculation and validation processes, research of corporate actions, client support and news research for both our global index and ETF products.


Duties accountabilities

• Research and calculate index and ETF compositions making adjustments for relevant corporate actions or events, before the respective market opens.

• Daily update, validation and research of global public indices and ETFs.

• Carry out quality checks on index and ETF data.

• Maintain the static data and contact providers when necessary.

• Respond to client queries and provide detailed analysis and feedback to their questions, in a timely manner.

• Contribute to a programme of work within the Equities GPS team to improve controls, capacity and client service

Business competencies Education and experience

• Graduate or equivalent in finance or numerical discipline is preferred

• Experience in operations and/or equities within an investment bank or within a buy-side organization

• Client services/ relationship management experience in a corporate environment an advantage

• Strong IT skills, preferably VBA and SQL experience an advantage

Commercial awareness

• Excellent knowledge of financial markets, in particular equities an advantage

• Ideally experience in dealing with client queries
