Assistant Web & Video Editor Job in London, London Uk
A Creative and Innovative Media Group is looking for an Assistant Web Video Editor to help create engaging and informative content for their global intranet. Working closely with the Web Editor the role has two main functions; to write, collate and post news articles about the Media Group content and to produce short web videos about the Media Groups content, people and initiatives which will appear on the intranet.
The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to write in style that reflects the tone of the intranet. They will have strong video editing skills and be able to produce short-form web videos to a high technical and creative standard from a wide variety of source material.
Necessary Skills
- Previous experience using Final Cut Pro or Avid in a professional broadcast or web environment.
- Competency in every aspect of the editing process, including digitising, sound effects, graphics and special effects.
- Experience of shooting with digital video cameras either for broadcast or web.
- Strong writing skills; the ability to write in a number of different styles according to tone and audience.
- Competent working knowledge of graphic design and image manipulation software packages; Photoshop, Indesign and After Effects (or equivalent).
- Candidates should have strong and adaptable I.T skills due to the large amount of time spent using the Content Management System (CMS), training will be provided.
- Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications including Powerpoint.
- Experience of using Prezi an advantage.
