The Associate Clinical Administrative Coordinator receives direction from Supervisor of Clinic Operations and RN Manager. Works cooperatively with all members of the care team and supports Patient satisfaction goals. Ensures all patients greeted and checked in and out, demographics accurate, collects co pays, and enters charges. Answers phone and routes calls as needed. Resolves moderately complex issues and defers appropriately to supervision. Makes recommendations to adapt procedures, processes and techniques to accomplish the requirements of the position.
***This position is working in an Urgent Care setting. Must be flexible to work weekends and 10-12 hour shifts between 8am-8pm.***
Primary Responsibilities:
- Schedule appointments as necessary. Enter charges correctly and collect appropriate payments. Document all calls and messages appropriately according to company policy.
- Responsible for waiting room management and implementation of efficient customer friendly processes.
- Work with back office / front office staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Communicate with clinical / clerical personnel about service issues and complaints.
- Assist co-workers and team members with duties when requested, to include but not limited to, floating to other areas.
- Answers phone, takes messages and routes calls appropriately. Handles patient calls accessing EMR and addressing patient concerns.
- Notifies patients of abnormal results with direction from provider or RN.
- Address and complete tasks, referrals, and stats on a daily basis, and accesses Imagecast to enter radiology orders.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1+ years experience working in a healthcare/medical office setting required.
- Must possess independent means of transportation available during work hours for job related tasks such as, but not limited to floating
- Must possess computer skills-window based applications, organizational skills, demonstrate knowledge of or ability to learn and apply job functions
- Cash handling process and insurance verification experience preferred.
- Must be able to work weekends and 10-12 hour shifts.
Knowledge: Demonstrate knowledge of and ability to learn and apply job functions, and minimal medical terminology knowledge.
Skills: Must possess computer skills � window based applications, organizational skills, and customer service skills.
