Overview:

Deutsche Bank's CBS (Corporate Banking Securities) division comprises Markets and Corporate Finance.

Within Corporate Finance, Capital Markets Treasury Solutions (CMTS) is essentially a sales force which delivers financing, risk management, treasury products and solutions to our clients with a focus on Markets and GTB (Global Transaction Banking) products. The region is structured predominantly into country teams and aligned with a number of specialist teams such as Liability Management, Ratings Advisory and Capital Solutions.

CBS in Birmingham is looking for a Relationship Manager. Deutsche Bank CMTS Client Strategy and Relationship Management is a team committed to developing strategic relationships with Deutsche Bank's clients. The group's objectives are to provide cross product delivery, higher quality service, greater access and superior sales coordination to a selected group of Priority Clients, all with the aim of increasing revenues. These accounts range from official institutions to corporates, banks, hedge funds and private money managers. In addition, Relationship Managers are often the first port of call from various infrastructure and support functions within the Bank. As such, the Relationship Management (RM) community is often referred to as the face of the business internally.

Key Responsibilities:

The role of a Relationship Manager is an interesting position to hold within an Investment Bank. Over time, you will get exposure to almost every aspect of the day to day running of a front office business and will develop an in-depth knowledge of key clients. Tasks and responsibilities vary extensively, however some of the key tasks/responsibilities are listed below:

Preparation of presentations for senior management.

Financial Reporting and Analysis.

Understand the Revenue Credit (RC) reporting system from across all products in CBS.

Run performance analysis (fortnightly reports) - RC analysis, top 200 Client report.

Participation in development of strategic Corporate Client business projects (Wallet Sizing, Client Opportunity Modelling and Sales Initiatives).

Create/ maintain client information models including key themes, revenues, Relationship information.

Ongoing maintenance and development of the global client management database - analysis of monthly RC reports to establish priority CMTS clients, sound understanding of client hierarchies and structures, liaising with different business areas to obtain key client information.

You will have:

A Management Accountant or Accounting background.

Previous experience working in Investment Banking or Financial Services.

Demonstrated intellectual skills: the ability to structure problems logically, to develop innovative yet practical solutions and the ability to identify implications and synthesize results.

Superior communication skills (written and verbal) with strict attention to detail.

Presentational skills and will be able to work with minimal supervision.

You will be:

Educated to degree level (or relevant international equivalent).

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word and Powerpoint.

Able to create, model and automate spreadsheets. As well as create databases and automate interaction between underlying data and reporting tools (Excel/ PowerPoint/Word).

Highly motivated with a strong willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

Diligent, efficient and able to manage multiple conflicting deliverables including working under pressure.

A good team player who can work with both peers and senior management.
