Associate 3/VP1 – Investment Banking – TMT recruitment
Although this is an MA role it is diametrically opposed to a bulge bracket role with a similar title.
This is a TMT boutique in Mayfair with a handful of people where things are done a little differently.
Buy-sides, sell-sides, capital raisings - usually in digital media, internet etc but sometimes in totally unconnected sectors (football!).
Your job will be to run deals - manage day-to-day stuff, stakeholders - really just to relieve the partners of any aspects of the deal that you can handle. You will also manage junior resource and make sure their technical contribution/execution/documentation is good.
It's a classic VP role - 'point' on small deals and anything that involves.
Bonuses are paid on a deal by deal basis which means relatively large payments through the year. Deal flow is strong and the work/life balance is relatively good.
