Associate

My client is currently looking for an experienced 1 year Associate to work as a member of their successful and growing Debt Advisory and Infrastructure teams. The successful candidate will work with a group of exceptional professionals, with the benefit of direct access to the leadership within the teams, assuming significant responsibility, experiencing strong deal-flow, gaining transaction exposure and opportunity for progression.

Key Responsibilities

1.  The core role is to:

- assist in the preparation of marketing materials and pitches for new business

- undertake financial modelling and produce detailed valuations

- write information memoranda and client presentations

2. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to:

- produce briefing notes and research relating to trends in the debt markets

- research, collate and interpret data in order to present a complete picture of an organisation or sector

- serve as a point of contact for clients in the day-to-day management of transactions

- start to build own network of contacts (e.g. lawyers, accountants, consultants and potential clients such as junior staff at private equity firms)

- make contact and interact with peers in other teams and offices

Experience and Qualifications

- Strong academic record (at least a 2.1 degree or equivalent)

- Relevant past experience in investment banking, commercial banking, debt advisory or accounting

- Strong financial modelling skills (Excel).  Must be able to build and integrated financial model from scratch and layer in capital structure adjustments

- Experience of writing presentations (PowerPoint) and information memoranda (Word)
