The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
Excellent loans documentation experience
Facility documentation knowledge is essential, especially the treatment/monitoring of financial covenants and security packages.
Good communication and relationship/partnership-building skills both with team members as well as other business partners. Ability to interact confidently with all levels of stakeholders
Strong attention to detail with a control and risk discipline mindset, takes ownership and is accountable for area of responsibility
Good level awareness of Investment/Corporate Banking and its products.
Strong PC skills in Microsoft Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to use web-based technology effectively
Knowledge of Loan IQ for loan bookings
French Language skills an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:-
To ensure day-to-day support is given across all business – both for new and existing credit facilities.
Review facility documentation to ensure credit terms comply with credit approvals and term sheet.
The role will require the establishment of effective partnerships with all Front Offices as a key stakeholder as well as teams in several areas of the bank in different capacities (Risk/Finance/BO etc).
To take responsibility for maintaining the highest quality data, as well as understanding and adhering to credit policy developments and escalating appropriate queries
Safe-keep facility documentation, agreement and security documents (in line with security policies)
Control transactions to ensure that they are fully compliant with the authorisations given and requirements made by the Credit Committee, at both structuring and implementation stages
Provide support and expertise to the Front Office at all stages during the life of a transaction , as well as provide the Back Office with thoroughly documented instructions
