Responsibilities:
- Build understanding and knowledge of the clients' business and their competitive environments.
- Develop a relationship with clients to accommodate and better anticipate their needs; respond to their needs in a timely and efficient manner.
- Exhibit a strong interest in healthcare and science fields.
- Demonstrate ability to effectively develop full range of written materials including press releases, byline articles, speeches, client correspondence and reports.
- Monitor internal status of jobs and due dates; advise senior team members of developments; verify billing accuracy.
- Under the strategic direction of senior management, act as the primary implementer of account plans.
- Verify information to assure accuracy of media materials and contacts.
- Create budget status reports and review job status reports.
- Vigorously pursue competitive estimates for services from vendors.
- Seek counsel from financial manager to be able to review financial reports, project budgets, and related financial materials.
- Develop an understanding of various research methods; coordinate internal and external resources in implementing research projects.
- Assist with research for new business opportunities and client presentations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Marketing or a related field.
- Three to five years of experience in public relations or similar position in a non-agency setting.
- Must have prior Healthcare/Pharmaceutical experience in a PR agency environment.
- Familiar with social media platform and how to use it to drive brand awareness, engagement, and traffic to a website/social media pages, plus hands-on experience generating awareness through social media and online communities in relation to broader media mix.
- Ability to actively participate in the development of social media plans.
- Growing aptitude to translate trends, technologies and metrics into conversational English.
