Associate Accountant, Fund Accounting recruitment
Knowledge/Skills
Minimum Bac +2 in accounting , economics or finance or equivalent
Some experience of Fund Accounting and NAV calculations would be advantageous
Fluent in English. Additional languages would be beneficial
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, Bloomberg
Attention to detail and constant focus on quality and client service
Excellent Team player
Major Duties
1. Responsible for following established guidelines and identifying and resolving problems.
2. Expected to use some initiative but refer more complex problems to supervisors/ experts.
3. May direct day-to-day work of junior level employees (but not a formal management role).
Experience
• The calculation of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly NAV
• Validation of all data in the fund
• Preparation of monthly /quarterly/ semi annual and annual reporting
• Maintenance of relevant files for both valuation and audit purposes
• Resolution of client and auditor’s queries
• Providing excellent overall client satisfaction
• The maintenance of a professional but good working relationship with the client and with other Northern Trust partners
• Deal with client’s implementation and conversion
• Understanding implications of work prepared, ie compliance and regulatory
• Additional tasks that may from time to time be required which are appropriate to the role and business requirements
