The Department

The Structured Finance Group reviews a wide range of securitisation structures comprising mortgage and asset-backed securities, collateralised debt obligations, credit derivatives, asset-backed commercial paper, and repackaged bond transactions.

For our Frankfurt office, we are looking for a talented and highly motivated Associate Analyst.

Role

Associate Analyst within the Monitoring Team for the Covered Bonds Group in SFG. The person will be focused on liaising with Issuers to obtain accurate Covered Bonds reporting information and will be responsible for running and evaluating model results in order to create quarterly Performance Overview Reports. The Monitoring Team provides a dynamic and constantly evolving service and the successful candidate will have opportunities to participate in developing and building upon existing platforms.

Responsibilities

*  Running and evaluating model results
*  Maintaining and updating data for a portfolio of transactions
*  Liaising with Analysts for updates on the deal performance
*  Working with transaction parties to ensure timely receipt of data
*  Responsible for producing Performance Overview reports
*  Additional ad hoc monitoring tasks as required
*  Retrieving loan-by-loan information from existing databases as well as customers
*  Reviewing model settings for existing transactions
*  Testing applications and reviewing workflow tools
*  Supporting actively the develop of existing and new models and monitoring tools

Qualifications

*  BSc/MSc in Finance, Banking, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent subject (Class 2.1 or above) is essential

Experience

*  Strong financial modelling experience derived via academia or previous experience
*  Good understanding of financial markets
*  Knowledge of/Interest in Structured Finance advantageous

Key Skills – Technical

*  Proficiency in Excel and VBA is essential. Knowledge of Visual Basic, C++, C#, Java, PERL or SQL is desirable
