Associate Analyst, Structured Finance Group – Surveillance recruitment
The Department
The Structured Finance Group reviews a wide range of securitisation structures comprising mortgage and asset-backed securities, collateralised debt obligations, credit derivatives, asset-backed commercial paper, and repackaged bond transactions.
Role
The successful candidate will work together with other team members and information technology to implement additional surveillance processes.
Responsibilities:
- Retrieving loan-by-loan information from existing databases as well as customers
- Reviewing model settings for existing transactions
- Testing applications and reviewing workflow tools
- Checking model runs and model results
Qualifications
- BSc/MSc (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Economics / Statistics, Maths, Engineering or other quantitative subject (Class 2.1 or above)
Experience
- Relevant working experience from a recognised financial institution or an audit firm
- Strong cash flow and other financial modelling skills
- Logical analytical thought process/Interest in credit desirable
- Good understanding of financial markets.
- Knowledge of/Interest in Structured Finance desirable
Key Skills – Technical
- Advanced knowledge of Excel is essential. Knowledge of VBA, PERL or SQL is desirable.
