Position summary

MarkitSERV is seeking an experienced Application Support professional to join the Engineering Services Team. The role encompasses 2nd line technical application support for our Trade Processing applications.

This person will report directly to the Global Lead responsible for application support on these systems and will work with an experienced global team to contribute to the quality of our support.

Business competencies

Education and experience

• University graduate or equivalent

• Must have experience in Application Support

• Must have experience in raising development bugs – including priority assessment and detailing how to reproduce issues.

• Must have experience in SQL specifically on Oracle - including stored procedures complex joins.

• Must have Unix skills incl. good scripting experience (preferably including PERL).

• Must have some programming experience in one or more of Java/C++/Perl/Python

• Ideally would have experience of working in the Finance Industry.

• Ideally would have experience of MarkitSERV products

Commercial awareness

• Excellent understanding of software systems and technology

• Good understand of Application Support processes

• Awareness of Derivatives products and Trade Processing (desirable)
