Dana Holding Corporation is seeking to fill the position of Associate Applications Engineer in Maumee, OH.

The main responsibilities of this position is the application of axle products to the original equipment customers on new business opportunities and the maintenance of current vehicle applications during development through launch of new vehicle.

Primary Duties:
• Develop product design proposals to meet the customers needs.
• Coordinate product programs with design, FEA/CAE, proto type builds, test, manufacturing, and suppliers.
• Track customer program timing for engineering activities.
• Support Advanced Program Quality Planning activities.
• Develop and support cost savings and idea proposals.
• Create DVPRs and DFMEAs as well as participate in APQP.
• Provide technical support to our customers during vehicle development, launch, and during productions.
• Communicate at all levels of customer and internal organizations.
• Periodic technical presentations and document preparation
• Actively monitor warranty performance and lead problem-solving efforts for emerging warranty issues.

Requirements:
• Four year degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
• Experience in axle design and engineering or related drivetrain/powertrain field.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude.
• Understanding of and experience in APQP, DVPR, and DFMEA required.
• Must be a self-directed, motivated and organized individual who is willing to accept responsibility with excellent written and verbal skills.
• Must be able to travel overnight both domestically and internationally.
• Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes.
• Willing and able to work excess hours when necessary.
